Double-sided sealing butyl tape

Double-sided sealing butyl tape is never-curing butyl tape based on butyl rubber and  

polyisobutylene as main raw material matched with other additives through advanced technology. It has strong adhesion to various surfaces, it also has excellent weather resistance, aging resistance and good water resistance. To the pasted surface, it features seal, shock absorption, protection, etc. In addition, double sided sealing butyl tape does not contain any solvents, it is not shrink, not emit toxic gases. And convenient construction makes it become a rare waterproof sealing material in the construction. Widely used in foundation engineering roof waterproof, underground facilities waterproof, tunnel, water supply,insulating glass,auto-glass and drainage works and so on meanwhile it has excellent weather resistance, aging resistance and waterproof performance. It can be added the reinforced materials between the adhesive layer for some special application.

Installation :

Step 1: Clean up

Before the construction, the surface of the base must be cleaned or wiped clean, and keep dry without water,floating soil or oil.

Step 2: Cut off

Cut or choose proper size of butyl sealing tape according to actual working condition.

Step 3: Tear off

Tear off the release film on the back of butyl tape and paste it on the gap.

Step 4: Paste on

After the adhesive tape is pasted, press the tape with hands or rollers to make the tape fully bond with the base surface.

Construction caution

1. Working temperature range should be 45 ℃ to 15 ℃. (beyond this scope, the corresponding security measures should be taken).

2. The base surface must be cleaned and kept dry, free of water, dirt or oil.

3. According to the actual project needs to choose different types and sizes of butyl tape.

4. The butyl tape after construction shall not be torn or stripped within 24 hours.

5. Do not use with the waterproofing materials contain the organic substances like benzene, toluene, methanol, ethylene, silicone,etc
